Escape Room Barrie started in 2016 as a small, family-run business with a big love for escape rooms. Our passion for puzzles and creating immersive experiences led us to build something special right here in the heart of our city. Every one of our escape rooms is dreamed up, puzzled out and hand-crafted by us, meaning you won’t find these unique adventures anywhere else!
We’re all about family, community, and having fun. Our goal is always to bring a fresh kind of entertainment to Simcoe County—one that brings people together, encourages teamwork, and sparks excitement. We’re proud to offer a space where families, friends, and businesses can share a one-of-a-kind experience.
After years of working in the escape room world, we know how to craft games that are challenging, engaging, and, most of all, fun! We design experiences with the goal of them being enjoyed by everyone of all ages!
Our players and community mean everything to us, and we are forever grateful for how we have been embraced and supported. Timothy

Tim is the go-to guy for anything that needs building. As the co-owner of the business with his wife, he’s not just the “hands-on” part of the team, but also the creative force behind all of the designs. A father of two and a talented artist, Tim is always dreaming up new ideas, and his drawing skills help bring them to life. Whether it’s crafting a game, building props, or coming up with genius plans for the future, Tim’s got it covered. His ability to turn an idea into something real, and his energy and determination is what makes this place stand out.

Oliver and Willow have been escape room pros since day one. Puzzles, design, and wild ideas are just part of their daily routine, and honestly, they could probably run the show by now! These two little dynamos are always jumping in to help, learn, and even teach the grown-ups a thing or two. Full of energy and endless ideas, they brighten every day with their smiles. We couldn’t do what we do without their love, maturity, and determination to make sure Mom and Dad can achieve their dreams.

Kathryn
Mrs. fix-it
Kathryn is the quiet force behind the puzzle and technical side of the business (with a lot of help from Thomas, she might add.) As a self-taught problem solver, she’s always learning and improving. Along with being a mom of two, she runs the business with her husband Tim, juggling many roles behind the scenes. Kathryn relies heavily on the connections she’s made with other business owners in the community, and she’s deeply grateful for the support and friendships that have helped her family succeed.

Master of Magic Keelan has been casting spells at Escape Room Barrie for over two years, but his magic isn’t just limited to the stage! With his theatre background, Keelan brings a cool, creative flair to everything he touches. He learns new things faster than you can say “escape,” and tackles every challenge with a big smile and boundless positivity. Whether he’s helping design puzzles, crafting props, or rolling up his sleeves for some build work, Keelan’s always eager to dive in and learn something new. His humor and “can-do” attitude make him a beloved part of the Escape Room Barrie family—and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

General Manager-of-Everything Josee is the glue that holds Escape Room Barrie together. She has been a huge part of the lives of our owners, and it didn’t take long before Escape Room Barrie became impossible to imagine without her. With years of experience working with people, Josee has mastered the art of wrangling the team while keeping everything on track. Known for her tireless work ethic, sharp sense of humour, & natural ability to lead, she’s the hardest-working GM in the escape room world. Whether it’s managing the chaos or keeping spirits high, solving problems behind the scenes, or boosting team morale, Josee’s got it all under control!

Captain of Chaos Jay is the go-to movie expert at Escape Room Barrie. When he’s not managing the escape room floor, he’s probably reviewing the latest films or chatting about his favourite movie classics. A true film buff, Jay brings his love of storytelling and cinematic flair into the escape room experience. He has quickly become an integral part of our team—already feeling like family. Caring, compassionate, and always ready to lend a hand, Jay’s friendly, easygoing nature makes him a perfect fit. Whether he’s running a shift or recommending a must-watch film, Jay’s enthusiasm and heart are always on full display!
